Voice-Technologies.com provides voice/data/video convergence training development and consultancy services covering, among others, megaco, mgcp, ipdc, ip telephony, h.323 and sip training courses.
SIP Training Courses - SIP is the new IETF signalling protocol used to initiate, manage and terminate real-time interactive sessions between users on the Internet and IP based networks. SIP defines mechanisms for call routing, call signalling, capabilities exchange, media control and supplementary services. Voice-Technologies offers two training courses specifically aimed at increasing an understanding in SIP - SIP Essentials and SIP Primer. In addition to these, many of our other voice/data convergence courses cover SIP as well.
MEGACO Training Course - Otherwise known as media gateway control, MEGACO is an IP telephony protocol that is a combination of the MGCP and IPDC protocols but is simpler than H.323.
IP Telephony Training Course - IP telephony is the science of converting sound into electrical signals, transmitting it within cables or via radio and reconverting it back into sound. IP telephony refers to the telephone industry in general.
H.323 Training Course - H.323 is a specification defining how voice, video, and data traffic will be transported on the Internet. H.323 is a protocol for the transmission of real-time audio, video and data information over packet switching-based networks, including Internet telephony.
MGCP Training Course - Also known as media gateway control protocol, MGCP is a protocol for IP telephony from the IETF. Working in conjunction with the gateway location protocol (GLP), it enables a caller with a PSTN phone number to locate the destination device and establish a session. It provides the gateway-to-gateway interface for the session initialisation protocol (SIP).
IPDC Training Course - Standing for internet protocol device control, IPDC is a protocol for controlling media gateways developed by the Technical Advisory Committee, which was convened by Level 3 and others. IPDC analyses incoming data signals, in band control signals and tones and sets up and controls the appropriate gateways. IPDC also handles management and reporting.
